2005-W Proof American Silver Eagle PR-69 PCGS (FS)
The 2005-W Proof American Silver Eagle represents a stunning marriage of classic and modern American coin design. Minted at the West Point facility, this one-dollar coin is struck from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver. As a sovereign coin, its weight and purity are fully backed by the government of the United States. On the obverse, the design features Lady Liberty draped in the folds of an American flag, walking gracefully toward a rising sun over a mountain ridge. This side bears the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year "2005". This timeless image was originally created by artist Adolph A. Weinman. The reverse displays a powerful heraldic eagle positioned beneath a cluster of thirteen small stars. The eagle holds an olive branch and arrows, symbolizing peace and strength. The inscriptions on this side include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "1 OZ. FINE SILVER", "ONE DOLLAR", and the traditional motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM". The "W" mint mark is also visible, indicating its origin at the West Point Mint.
