2006-D Nebraska State Quarter BU

0.0000 troy oz 2006 Brilliant Unc

The 2006 Denver Mint quarter honors the state of Nebraska with a design that evokes the spirit of westward exploration. Struck from a copper and nickel blend bonded to a pure copper core, this brilliant uncirculated coin showcases the transition of early travelers across the American landscape. On the reverse, an ox-drawn wagon carrying pioneers moves across the foreground, while the dramatic spire of Chimney Rock rises in the distance. The inscriptions on this side include the state name, NEBRASKA, the year of statehood, 1867, and the national motto, E PLURIBUS UNUM, alongside the year of issue, 2006. This detailed scene was designed by Richard Masters. The obverse features the classic profile of George Washington, originally designed by John Flanagan. Surrounding the portrait are the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the denomination, QUARTER DOLLAR. A small D mint mark is also visible, indicating its production at the Denver Mint.
