The 2006 edition is particularly notable for its exceptionally low mintage, with only 2,676 pieces ever struck. The obverse of the coin features a close-up portrait of the Statue of Liberty looking forward. Inscriptions on this side include the word LIBERTY, the year 2006, and the traditional mottos IN GOD WE TRUST and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
