2007 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle BU
The 2007 Gold American Eagle in its tenth-ounce format showcases a brilliant combination of classic and modern American numismatic art. Struck in 0.9167 fine gold, this five-dollar denomination coin carries a total of 0.1000 troy ounces of pure gold. Its production run reached a total of 190,010 pieces, minted at West Point without carrying a mint mark. On the obverse, the coin displays a celebrated depiction of Lady Liberty, which was originally created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for the double eagle coin. She is shown stepping forward with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other, set against the backdrop of the United States Capitol building. The word LIBERTY is inscribed above her, accompanied by the year 2007. The reverse, designed by Miley Busiek, presents a detailed family scene of America's national bird. A male bald eagle is captured mid-flight, clutching an olive branch as he returns to a nest containing a female eagle and their young. This side is rich with traditional inscriptions, including UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and E PLURIBUS UNUM, alongside the weight and face value of 1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD 5 DOLLARS.
