Struck from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, this modern dollar coin continues a tradition that began in 1986. This specific issue has been certified in the highest possible grade of Mint State 70, indicating a flawless strike and pristine preservation. On the obverse, the design showcases a classic American motif originally created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman. It depicts Lady Liberty wrapped in the national flag, stepping gracefully toward a rising sun. This timeless imagery first appeared on the Walking Liberty half dollar, and its adaptation for the silver dollar series remains one of the most celebrated designs in American numismatics. The legible inscriptions on this side include the year 2007 and the phrase IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse side, designed by John Mercanti, features a powerful heraldic eagle that draws inspiration from the Great Seal of the United States. The eagle grasps an olive branch and a cluster of arrows while holding a banner inscribed with E PLURIBUS UNUM in its beak. Hovering above the eagle are thirteen small stars, which symbolize the original thirteen colonies that formed the nation.
