This striking 2007 issue from Mexico celebrates the state of Sonora through a masterful combination of metals and imagery. Cataloged by numismatists as KM-855, the coin features a bimetallic construction, showcasing a central core made of 0.925 fine silver containing 0.6000 troy ounces of precious metal, which is securely encircled by a golden-hued aluminum-bronze outer ring. Struck at the historic Mexico City Mint, indicated by the Mo mint mark, this piece remains in brilliant uncirculated condition. The design on the side representing Sonora captures the spirit of the region, depicting a traditional dancer alongside a cactus, a mountain range, and a rising sun. Inscribed on this side are the words ESTADO DE SONORA, the year 2007, and the face value of $100 Pesos. The opposite side displays the classic Mexican national coat of arms, which portrays a powerful eagle perched atop a cactus while grasping a snake, surrounded by the inscription ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS.
