This 2007 silver quarter represents a striking tribute to Washington State, struck in a proof finish at the San Francisco Mint. Composed of 90 percent silver, the coin contains 0.17875 troy ounces of precious metal. The proof manufacturing process gives the coin a highly reflective, mirror-like background that contrasts beautifully with the frosted details of the design. The obverse displays the familiar left-facing portrait of George Washington, originally created by John Flanagan and modified by William Cousins.
