2007-W 1/2 oz Gold Abigail Adams MS-70 NGC
Struck at the West Point Mint in New York, this modern gold coin celebrates Abigail Adams, one of the most influential figures of early American history. Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts, in 1744, she married the future president John Adams in 1764. This issue represents a stunning tribute crafted from a half-ounce of 0.9999 fine gold, carrying a face value of ten dollars. The obverse of the coin features a detailed portrait of Abigail Adams, surrounded by the inscriptions of her name, the year 2007, and the traditional mottos of liberty and trust. The West Point mintmark is also visible on this side. On the reverse, the design illustrates her famous written appeal to her husband to "remember the ladies" during the formation of the new nation. This poignant historical moment is immortalized alongside the United States of America name, the denomination, and the weight and purity of the gold content.
