The piece contains exactly one-half troy ounce of gold, minted at the West Point facility in New York, as indicated by the W mint mark. On the obverse, the design presents a classic depiction of Lady Liberty. She stands majestically, holding an olive branch in one hand and a lit torch in the other, a visual theme adapted from the historic Gold Double Eagle created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
