2007-W Proof American Silver Eagle PF-70 NGC (ER)
Introduced in 1986, the American Eagle series has become a cornerstone of modern coinage. This 2007 edition, struck at the West Point Mint, represents a superb example of the United States Mint's proof manufacturing process. The coin is minted from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver and carries a face value of one dollar, backed fully by the United States government. The obverse displays the classic representation of Lady Liberty walking toward a rising sun, a celebrated design by Adolph A. Weinman. Inscriptions on this face include the word LIBERTY, the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 2007. On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle rests beneath a cluster of thirteen stars, symbolizing the original colonies. The reverse inscriptions confirm the country of origin, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, along with the weight and purity stated as 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and the denomination, ONE DOLLAR. The West Point origin is noted by the distinctive W mintmark.
