2008 China 1 oz Gold Panda BU (Sealed)
The 2008 gold issue of the Chinese Panda series presents a touching wildlife scene, struck in one ounce of 0.999 pure gold. On this release, the reverse design captures a quiet moment between a mother panda and her young cub as they rest together amidst a forest setting. This tender depiction is accompanied by the face value of 500 Yuan and the coin's metal weight and purity, inscribed as 1oz Au 0.999. On the obverse, the coin features the magnificent Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, located within Beijing's historic Temple of Heaven complex. The Chinese characters representing the People's Republic of China arch above the temple structure, while the year of issue, 2008, is positioned at the bottom. Backed by the People's Bank of China, this Brilliant Uncirculated coin was limited to a maximum production of 150,000 pieces.
