In 2008, the United States Mint released a commemorative silver dollar celebrating one of the nation's most iconic symbols. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin contains 0.7734 troy ounces of silver, minted with a purity of 90 percent. This specific issue is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, presenting a crisp strike with a total mintage of 119,204 pieces. The obverse of the coin showcases a dynamic scene of a bald eagle gliding through the air. This majestic bird of prey is rendered in rich detail, capturing the spirit of freedom. The design was created by Joel Iskowitz and brought to life by sculptor Don Everhart. Inscriptions on this side include the year 2008, the phrase "IN GOD WE TRUST", and the "P" mint mark indicating its Philadelphia origin.
