2010 1 oz Gold Buffalo MS-69 PCGS (Black Diamond)
Introduced in 2006, the American Buffalo series represents a striking achievement in United States coinage. This 2010 issue is struck in one troy ounce of exceptionally pure 0.9999 fine gold. Backed fully by the United States government as sovereign legal tender, this fifty-dollar coin has been certified in outstanding Mint State 69 condition. The coin features artwork adapted directly from the famous 1913 Buffalo Nickel. The obverse presents a powerful profile portrait of a Native American man, accompanied by the inscription LIBERTY and the date 2010. The reverse features a majestic American bison standing in profile, a depiction widely believed to be modeled after a real buffalo named Black Diamond. This side is inscribed with the phrases UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the weight and purity specifications of 1 OZ. 0.9999 FINE GOLD.
