Struck from 0.999 fine silver, this impressive coin scales up the traditional quarter dollar format to a commanding three-inch diameter, allowing the intricate details of the design to truly shine. The reverse of the coin presents a dramatic perspective of the steep, layered canyon walls, capturing the immense scale and geological wonder of the Arizona landmark. This side is inscribed with "Grand Canyon", "Arizona", "2010", and the traditional motto "E Pluribus Unum". On the obverse, a familiar portrait of George Washington anchors the design. Surrounding the first president are the inscriptions "United States of America", "Liberty", "In God We Trust", and the denomination "Quarter Dollar".
