The 2010 Kennedy half dollar, struck at the Denver Mint, stands as a modern continuation of one of America's most recognizable coin series. This particular coin is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, showcasing the sharp details of its original strike just as it appeared when leaving the coining press. On the obverse, a left-facing portrait of President John F. Kennedy dominates the design. This bust was created by Gilroy Roberts and is accompanied by the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" split across the lower field, with the date 2010 positioned at the bottom. The Denver origin is indicated by the "D" mint mark located just above the date. The reverse side features a detailed heraldic eagle, a design by Frank Gasparro. The eagle holds a bundle of arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other, representing both strength and peace. The traditional motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is displayed on a scroll, while the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "HALF DOLLAR" frame the central design. Unlike early issues in the series, this 2010 edition is struck from a modern clad composition. It features an outer layer of copper and nickel bonded directly to a core of pure copper, giving the coin its distinct metallic structure and weight.
