Struck in five troy ounces of 999 fine silver, this large-format coin showcases the natural grandeur of one of America's most celebrated landscapes. The piece belongs to the America the Beautiful series, utilizing its expansive surface to present a highly detailed view of the massive granite monolith, El Capitan, located in California's Yosemite National Park. A soft, non-reflective matte finish enhances the visual depth of the design, bringing out the textures of the rock face. The obverse features the classic profile of George Washington, accompanied by the traditional inscriptions denoting the nation, liberty, the national motto, and the quarter dollar denomination. On the reverse, the towering cliffside is framed by the inscriptions of the park's name, the state of California, the year 2010, and the Latin phrase signifying unity. Bearing the P mint mark, this specimen was produced at the Philadelphia Mint and has been certified in Specimen 69 condition, representing an exceptionally clean strike from a limited production run of 27,000 pieces.
