The 2010 Kennedy half dollar, struck at the Philadelphia Mint, represents a continuation of one of America's most enduring modern coin designs. This particular issue is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, allowing the original luster to highlight the sharp details of the engraving. The coin is composed of a copper and nickel outer layer bonded to a core of pure copper, a standard composition for circulating United States coinage of this era. On the obverse, a left-facing portrait of President John F. Kennedy dominates the field. Designed by Gilroy Roberts, the bust captures the president in profile. The inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" is positioned below the portrait, while the year 2010 and the "P" mint mark are clearly visible near the bottom rim. The reverse features the heraldic eagle design created by Frank Gasparro. Based on the Presidential Seal, the eagle holds a bundle of arrows in one claw and an olive branch in the other, symbolizing both strength and peace. The legend "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" arches over the top, the denomination "HALF DOLLAR" rests at the bottom, and the traditional motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is displayed on a scroll above the eagle.
