2010-W 1 oz Proof American Platinum Eagle PR-69 PCGS (FS)
This modern United States sovereign coin is struck from one troy ounce of highly refined 0.9995 pure platinum. Minted at the West Point facility, as indicated by the W mint mark, this piece is a proof strike. Proof coins are specially produced to showcase sharp details and highly reflective surfaces, and this particular example has been certified in an exceptional Proof 69 Deep Cameo grade. The front of the coin displays a close-up portrait of the Statue of Liberty, accompanied by the inscription IN GOD WE TRUST and the year 2010. The reverse side features a thematic design that changes on an annual basis. For this 2010 issue, the reverse depicts Lady Justice holding a set of scales and a laurel branch, representing the concept of the Guardian of Liberty. This side also notes the face value of $100, the metal content of 1oz. 0.9995 PLATINUM, and the issuing nation, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
