In 2011, the United States Mint marked a quarter-century of its premier silver bullion program with a special release of the American Eagle. This particular one-dollar coin has achieved a perfect Mint State 70 grade, indicating its flawless condition. Struck from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, the issue represents a milestone for a series that spanned from 1986 to 2021. The front of the coin features a classic design dating back to 1916, showing Lady Liberty draped in the national flag as she walks toward a rising sun. This graceful figure is accompanied by the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year "2011". On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle stands behind a striped shield, clutching an olive branch in its right talons and a bundle of arrows in its left. In its beak, the bird holds a scroll. Above the eagle, thirteen stars are arranged to symbolize the original colonies. The reverse inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "1 OZ. FINE SILVER", "ONE DOLLAR", and the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM".
