In 2011, the United States Mint marked a major milestone by celebrating the twenty-fifth anniversary of its premier silver bullion program. This particular specimen has achieved the pinnacle of preservation, certified in perfect Mint State 70 condition. Struck from one troy ounce of 99.9 percent pure silver, the coin represents both a modern triumph and a tribute to classic American numismatic art. The front of the coin features the beloved Walking Liberty illustration, originally created by Adolph A. Weinman. This design depicts Lady Liberty draped in the American flag, moving gracefully toward a rising sun with branches of oak and laurel in her arms. The inscriptions on this face include the year 2011 and the guiding phrase, IN GOD WE TRUST. On the reverse, John Mercanti designed a powerful heraldic eagle that draws inspiration from the Great Seal of the United States. The majestic bird holds a symbolic olive branch in one talon and arrows in the other, shielded by a central crest. Above the eagle, thirteen five-pointed stars form an inverted triangle to represent the original American colonies, while a ribbon held in the eagle's beak displays the traditional motto, E PLURIBUS UNUM. The outer rim is inscribed with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the denomination, ONE DOLLAR.
