Struck at the Philadelphia Mint with a specialized burnished finish, the modern quarter-dollar features a purity of 0.999 fine silver. The reverse side of the coin captures the rugged spirit of Alaska, depicting a Dall sheep positioned before the towering silhouette of Mount McKinley.
