This particular specimen is struck from one troy ounce of 99.9 percent pure silver. While it does not bear a mintmark, its origin is verified as the San Francisco Mint, a detail celebrated by a special certification label highlighting the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. On the front of the coin, the figure of Lady Liberty moves gracefully toward a rising sun over a mountain ridge. This classic image is based directly on the historic Walking Liberty motif originally created by Adolph A. Weinman. Legible inscriptions on this side include the word LIBERTY, the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 2012. The back of the coin features a powerful heraldic eagle designed by John Mercanti, closely mirroring the Great Seal of the United States.
