2012-W Burnished American Silver Eagle SP/MS-70 PCGS

1.0000 troy oz .999 2012 PCGS

The 2012 American Silver Eagle stands as a remarkable example of modern United States coinage, combining precious metal purity with celebrated artistic design. Struck at the West Point Mint, this specific issue carries the 'W' mint mark and is distinguished by its specialized burnished finish, which offers a unique satin-like texture that sets it apart from standard bullion releases. Each coin contains one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, representing a sovereign issue backed fully by the United States government. The obverse side displays the iconic walking figure of Lady Liberty, originally designed by Adolph A. Weinman. She is depicted draped in the American flag, moving gracefully toward a rising sun with branches of laurel and oak in her arms. The inscriptions on this side include the word LIBERTY, the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year of issue, 2012. On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle is showcased beneath a canopy of 13 five-pointed stars, symbolizing the original colonies. The eagle holds an olive branch in one talon and arrows in the other, representing a desire for peace alongside a readiness for defense. The inscriptions surrounding the central design read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA along the top rim, while the lower rim displays the weight and face value as 1 OZ. FINE SILVER ONE DOLLAR. The traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is also clearly visible on the scroll held in the eagle's beak.
