The 2013 American Gold Eagle, with a face value of 25 Dollars, is a striking example of modern United States coinage. Struck in a brilliant uncirculated finish, this coin contains exactly one half ounce of gold, with a purity of 0.9167. The United States Mint produced a limited run of 58,000 of these pieces, each carrying the weight and purity guarantees of the federal government. The obverse of the coin presents a powerful image of Lady Liberty moving forward, illuminated by the rays of a rising sun.
