2013 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle MS-70 PCGS (FirstStrike®)
Struck from a gold alloy containing exactly one half ounce of pure gold, this twenty-five dollar coin from 2013 represents a modern continuation of classic American coin artistry. The coin has achieved a perfect Mint State 70 grade, indicating it is free of any visible imperfections even under close inspection. The obverse side displays a celebrated depiction of Lady Liberty walking forward, illuminated by the rays of a rising sun. This design is adapted from the famous Gold Double Eagle created by sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Legible inscriptions on this face include the word LIBERTY alongside the year of issue. On the reverse, a detailed family scene of bald eagles unfolds, designed by Miley Busiek. A male eagle is captured mid-flight carrying an olive branch, returning to a nest that shelters a female eagle and their young. This side is inscribed with the phrases UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and E PLURIBUS UNUM, alongside the weight and denomination of the half-ounce gold piece.
