2013 1 oz American Gold Eagle MS-70 PCGS (FirstStrike®)
The 2013 American Gold Eagle represents a stunning marriage of classic and modern American numismatic art. Struck from one troy ounce of gold, this fifty-dollar denomination coin has been certified in perfect Mint State 70 condition, indicating its flawless preservation and strike. The coin represents a long-standing tradition of precious metal coinage backed by the United States Mint. On the obverse, the design presents a powerful adaptation of the famous 1907 Gold Double Eagle. It depicts Lady Liberty walking forward with strength, set against a backdrop of radiating sunbeams. The word LIBERTY is inscribed above, and the year 2013 is clearly visible to the right of the figure. The reverse, designed by Miley Busiek, offers a tender yet majestic scene of a bald eagle family. A male eagle is captured mid-flight, carrying an olive branch back to a nest where a female eagle and their young await. This side bears the national mottos IN GOD WE TRUST and E PLURIBUS UNUM, alongside the inscriptions detailing the weight and denomination as 1 OZ. FINE GOLD and 50 DOLLARS.
