Struck in a massive format containing 32.15 troy ounces of 0.999 pure silver, this impressive 2013 release represents the third year of issue for a celebrated series from the Central Bank of Armenia. The coin carries legal tender status in Armenia, bearing a face value of 10,000 Drams. On the obverse, the official coat of arms for the Republic of Armenia takes center stage. This side also clearly displays the year 2013, the denomination, and the weight and purity of the precious metal. The reverse, created by artist Eduard Kurghinyan, depicts the biblical narrative of the great flood. A dove carrying an olive branch flies in the foreground, while Noah's Ark floats upon the receding waters. In the background, the sun rises behind the peaks of Mount Ararat, creating a powerful image of hope and renewal. Only 2,826 of these substantial silver pieces were minted.
