This monument and the surrounding park honor both the Battle of Lake Erie and the enduring harmony between the United States, Great Britain, and Canada. Encircling this scene are the inscriptions PERRY'S VICTORY, OHIO, 2013, and the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM.
