2013-P Kennedy Half Dollar BU
The 2013-P Kennedy half dollar stands as a modern tribute to a legacy that began in the mid twentieth century. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this fifty cent piece is presented in brilliant uncirculated condition, preserving the crisp details of its original manufacture. The physical composition of the coin consists of an outer layer of copper and nickel bonded securely to a central core of pure copper. On the obverse, the profile of President John F. Kennedy faces left. Designed by Gilroy Roberts, this portrait is accompanied by the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST", inscribed across the lower field, with the "P" mint mark of the Philadelphia facility positioned just above the date. The reverse side, designed by Frank Gasparro, displays a detailed heraldic eagle. The eagle holds a bundle of arrows in one claw and an olive branch in the other, symbolizing both strength and peace. The traditional Latin phrase "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is featured alongside the country name and the denomination, "HALF DOLLAR".
