2013-S ATB Quarter Great Basin National Park Proof
The 2013-S Great Basin National Park quarter dollar captures the rugged beauty of Nevada's high-desert wilderness. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this modern coin features a proof finish that highlights the intricate textures of the natural world. On the reverse side, a resilient Bristlecone pine tree stands proudly against a backdrop of rocky glacial moraines, celebrating the ancient landscapes preserved within the park. This side is inscribed with the words GREAT BASIN, NEVADA, 2013, and the traditional Latin motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. The obverse presents the classic portrait of George Washington, originally created by John Flanagan. Surrounding the profile are the familiar inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the denomination, QUARTER DOLLAR. A small S mint mark is visible, indicating its origin from the San Francisco facility.
