2013-S Quarter ATB Perry's Memorial Proof (Silver)

0.1788 troy oz .900 2013 Proof

Struck in 90 percent silver at the San Francisco Mint, this 2013 proof quarter is a brilliant example of modern American coin design. The issue belongs to the America the Beautiful series, showcasing a high-quality finish that emphasizes the crisp details of its engraving and the precious metal content of 0.17875 troy ounces. The reverse of the coin features a detailed depiction of the Peace Memorial alongside the statue of Master Commandant Oliver Hazard Perry. This design, created by John Flanagan and William Cousins, captures the monument in Ohio. The inscriptions surrounding the central image read PERRY'S VICTORY, OHIO, 2013, and E PLURIBUS UNUM. On the obverse, the classic profile of George Washington faces left, a familiar portrait accompanied by the traditional inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. The distinctive S mint mark is positioned to the right of the portrait, indicating its origin at the San Francisco facility, while the denomination QUARTER DOLLAR is inscribed along the bottom edge.
