2013 Tuvalu 1 oz Silver Yellow-Bellied Snake PR-70 PCGS

1.0000 troy oz .999 2013 Proof - 70 DCAM (PCGS)

Struck from one troy ounce of 99.9 percent pure silver, this modern dollar coin honors the yellow-bellied sea snake, a fascinating marine reptile. The coin is part of the celebrated Deadly and Dangerous series, showcasing some of nature's most formidable creatures. This particular specimen is certified in perfect Proof 70 Deep Cameo condition, highlighting the exceptional contrast between the frosted design elements and the mirror-like fields. The reverse side displays a detailed depiction of the yellow-bellied sea snake navigating its aquatic environment. Surrounding the central image are the inscriptions identifying the creature as AUSTRALIA'S YELLOW-BELLIED SEA SNAKE, alongside the weight and purity of the precious metal. The Perth Mint produced this striking legal tender issue for the island nation of Tuvalu with a limited release of only 5,000 pieces. On the obverse, the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley faces right. The monarch's name, the issuing nation of Tuvalu, the year 2013, and the face value of 1 Dollar are clearly inscribed around the rim, completing a beautifully balanced numismatic design.
