The 2013 American Eagle silver dollar represents a significant milestone, marking the 30th Anniversary of this celebrated modern bullion program. Struck at the West Point Mint, each coin contains one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver. This particular issue has been certified in perfect Mint State 70 condition, highlighting the flawless execution of its historic imagery. On the obverse, the figure of Lady Liberty walks gracefully toward the dawn, draped in the folds of the American flag with her right arm extended in a gesture of welcome. This iconic image is based on the famous 1916 Walking Liberty design by Adolph A. Weinman. The inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year "2013" accompany the figure, framing a timeless representation of freedom. The reverse, created by John Mercanti, features a powerful heraldic eagle positioned behind a striped shield. In its talons, the eagle grasps an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, while holding a banner inscribed with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" in its beak. Above the eagle, thirteen small stars are arranged in a triangular pattern, symbolizing the original colonies. The outer rim is inscribed with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the denomination, "1 OZ. FINE SILVER ONE DOLLAR."
