2014 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle MS-70 PCGS (FS®, Gold Foil Label)
The 2014 twenty-five dollar Gold American Eagle brings together two powerful symbols of American identity on a canvas containing a half-ounce of gold. This modern release has been certified in perfect Mint State 70 condition, highlighting the flawless execution of its intricate details. On the obverse, a classic depiction of Lady Liberty strides forward, holding a torch to light the way and an olive branch as a symbol of peace. This design is adapted from the famous early twentieth-century Gold Double Eagle. The reverse, created by Miley Busiek, captures a family of bald eagles. A male eagle in flight carries an olive branch back to a nest containing a female eagle and their young, representing unity and strength. Struck by the United States Mint, the coin features several prominent inscriptions, including the national mottos "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM." The reverse also displays the weight and denomination, marked as "1/2 OZ. FINE GOLD - 25 DOLLARS."
