Its proof finish provides a striking contrast to the detailed reverse design, which presents a specialized bathymetry map interpretation of the lake. To bring the depths of Lake Erie to life, the reverse is enhanced with colored enamel that highlights the varying underwater elevations and contours of the lake bed.
