2014 Canada 1 oz Silver Bison Portrait Proof (w/Box & COA)
In 2014, the Royal Canadian Mint released a striking tribute to one of North America's most imposing creatures. This modern proof coin, minted from one troy ounce of 99.99 percent pure silver, features a close-up depiction of a wood bison. Designed by artist Doug Comeau, the reverse side captures the powerful gaze and textured features of the animal in a direct, front-facing perspective. The opposite side of the coin bears the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II. Alongside the royal portrait, the obverse includes the year of issue and the face value of 20 Dollars. Part of a dedicated commemorative wildlife series, this coin was limited to a mintage of 7,500 pieces, offering a refined example of Canadian numismatic artistry.
