This 2014 silver coin from Niue celebrates the architectural majesty of the Gothic era. Struck from 0.9093 troy ounces of 0.999 fine silver, the coin represents a fusion of traditional minting and decorative stone artistry, issued with a limited mintage of 3,333 pieces. The obverse presents the main nave of a cathedral, accented by a vibrant green agate insert. A small profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is integrated into the design. Inscriptions on this side include the issuing nation, the year 2014, the metal purity, and the Queen's name. The reverse side continues the architectural theme, depicting the chancel of the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lincoln. The same green agate insert visible on the obverse carries through to this side, highlighting the window-like transparency of the design. The word "Gothic" is inscribed to mark the artistic movement that inspired this release.
