Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this 2014 silver dollar represents the twenty-eighth year of the United States Mint's premier silver bullion series. Certified in near-perfect Mint State 69 condition, the coin contains one troy ounce of 99.9 percent pure silver. It pairs classic American artistry with precise modern minting techniques, delivering a powerful visual narrative on a highly pure precious metal canvas. The front of the coin features Adolph A. Weinman's celebrated design, originally created for the circulating half dollar of 1916 to 1947. It depicts Lady Liberty moving gracefully toward a rising sun over a mountain ridge, draped in the stars and stripes of the American flag. Legible inscriptions on this side include the year 2014 and the national motto, IN GOD WE TRUST. On the reverse, John Mercanti's design presents a heraldic eagle reminiscent of the Great Seal of the United States. The eagle holds a ribbon in its beak inscribed with E PLURIBUS UNUM, while grasping a defensive bundle of arrows in its left claw and a peaceful olive branch in its right. Hovering above the eagle are thirteen stars arranged in a triangular pattern to symbolize the original American colonies.
