Struck from one ounce of 0.999 fine silver, the coin is part of the Fossilized Shark Tooth series and has a limited mintage of just 1,000 pieces. What sets this sovereign coin apart is the inclusion of an actual fossilized shark tooth, estimated to be between 40 to 55 million years old, which was discovered in Morocco. The obverse of the coin displays the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II alongside the five-dollar denomination and the year 2014.
