To honor the half-century milestone, this modern issue displays the dual dates of 1964 to 2014. On the reverse, the design features the Great Seal of the United States, as rendered by Frank Gasparro. An eagle clutches an olive branch and arrows, shielded by a heraldic breastplate. Unlike the standard circulating versions, this gold edition includes specific inscriptions along the bottom rim detailing its weight and purity, reading "3/4 oz. 0.9999 FINE GOLD" alongside the denomination.
