2015 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle MS-69 NGC (Early Releases)
The 2015 tenth-ounce Gold American Eagle is a stunning showcase of classic and modern American artistry, struck in 0.9167 fine gold. This particular specimen has been certified in exceptional Mint State 69 condition, indicating its superb preservation and sharp details. Backed by the United States Mint, this five-dollar denomination coin brings together two iconic symbols of American liberty and family. On the obverse, the design is adapted from the famous early twentieth-century work of Augustus Saint-Gaudens. It features Lady Liberty walking forward, bathed in the rays of a rising sun, holding a torch and an olive branch. The legend LIBERTY and the year 2015 are clearly visible. The reverse, designed by Miley Busiek, presents a touching family scene of bald eagles. A male eagle is depicted in mid-flight, carrying an olive branch back to a nest where a female eagle and their young await. This side bears the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the denomination and gold content details.
