2015 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle MS-70 NGC (Early Releases)
The 2015 tenth-ounce Gold American Eagle showcases a brilliant combination of classic and modern American numismatic art. Struck in 0.9167 fine gold, this five-dollar coin carries a tenth of an ounce of actual gold weight. Its compact size hosts incredibly detailed imagery that celebrates national symbols of freedom and family. On the obverse, a legendary design originally created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens is beautifully adapted for this modern issue. Lady Liberty is depicted walking forward, bathed in the radiating rays of the sun, with the year 2015 inscribed alongside her. The reverse, designed by Miley Busiek, presents a touching scene of a male bald eagle carrying an olive branch back to a nest where a female eagle and their young await. This side also displays the traditional national mottos, including "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
