2015 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle MS-70 NGC (Early Releases)
The 2015 Gold American Eagle, carrying a face value of 25 Dollars, is a modern United States coin containing a half ounce of gold. This piece showcases two distinct artistic visions of American identity, combining a historic twentieth-century design with a late-twentieth-century reverse illustration. On the obverse, the coin displays an adaptation of the celebrated 1907 Gold Double Eagle design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Lady Liberty is depicted walking forward, illuminated by the radiating rays of the sun. The word LIBERTY is inscribed above her, and the year 2015 is clearly marked on this side. The reverse features a detailed design by Miley Busiek, depicting a family of bald eagles. A male eagle is captured mid-flight, carrying an olive branch back to a nest that holds a female eagle and their young. This side of the coin is inscribed with the phrases UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and IN GOD WE TRUST, alongside the metal specifications and the 25 Dollars denomination.
