The issue had a limited production run of 300,000 pieces, making it an intriguing find for those who appreciate marine-themed coinage and precise metalwork. The reverse of the coin captures the powerful form of a great hammerhead shark as it navigates the water. This side also features the letter P, the traditional mint mark of the Perth Mint, alongside inscriptions detailing the year 2015, the weight of one-half ounce, and the triple-nine silver purity. On the obverse, the coin displays the classic effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, surrounded by her name and the nominal face value of 50 cents. This particular specimen has been graded in perfect Mint State 70 (MS-70) condition.
