2015 Canada 1 oz Silver $100 for $100 (Canadian Horse)

1.0000 troy oz .9999 2015 Brilliant Unc

In 2015, the Royal Canadian Mint released a striking silver coin celebrating a resilient symbol of the nation's heritage: the Canadian horse. Struck from one troy ounce of exceptionally pure 0.9999 fine silver, this piece represents the fifth installment in the popular $100 for $100 series. With a limited mintage of just 45,000 pieces, the coin is preserved in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The reverse of the coin captures a dynamic scene of a horse galloping across a grassy meadow, set against a backdrop of rolling farmland. This design honors a breed known in Quebec as "le petit cheval de fer," or the "little iron horse." Descended from draft, pacing, and trotting stock, these horses adapted to survive the harsh climates and rugged terrain of New France. Despite facing near extinction in its past, the breed endured to become the purest North American horse breed. The obverse features the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by her official royal title.
