2015-P ATB Quarter Saratoga National Historical Park BU
This 2015 quarter from the Philadelphia Mint celebrates a monumental moment in American history through the America the Beautiful series. Struck in brilliant uncirculated condition, the coin honors Saratoga National Historical Park, the site recognized as a critical turning point during the Revolutionary War. The reverse side of the coin depicts the historic British surrender of 1777, an event that shifted the course of the war. Inscriptions on this face include the name of the park, the state of New York, the year of the battle, and the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. On the obverse, the familiar portrait of George Washington is featured, originally designed by John Flanagan. Surrounding the first president's likeness are the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the denomination QUARTER DOLLAR, alongside the P mint mark representing its Philadelphia origin.
