2015-W High Relief Liberty Gold MS-70 PCGS (FS, Gold Foil Label)

1.0000 troy oz .9999 2015 MS-70 (PCGS)

In 2015, the United States Mint released a remarkable modern masterpiece that reimagines classic American iconography through contemporary artistry. Struck in one troy ounce of exceptionally pure 0.9999 fine gold, this one-hundred-dollar coin stands out for its high-relief format, which gives the struck elements a dramatic, sculptural depth. This particular specimen has achieved the highest possible grade of Mint State 70, indicating a flawless strike and pristine preservation. The obverse of the coin presents a modern interpretation of Lady Liberty. Designed by Justin Kunz, she is depicted holding a staff with an American flag in one hand and a lit torch in the other, symbolizing guidance and freedom. The inscriptions "Liberty" and "In God We Trust" are cleanly integrated into the design alongside the 2015 year of issue. On the reverse, artist Paul Balan captures a powerful American eagle in mid-flight, clutching an olive branch in its talons as a symbol of peace. The detailed feathers and dynamic sense of motion are enhanced by the high-relief striking process. The reverse is inscribed with "United States of America", the traditional motto "E Pluribus Unum", and the coin's weight, purity, and face value of one hundred dollars. Bearing the "W" mint mark, this coin was produced at the West Point Mint and belongs to a limited worldwide release of 49,325 pieces.
