The 2016 ten-dollar American Gold Eagle coin represents a harmonious blend of historic twentieth-century art and modern craftsmanship. Struck with a quarter-ounce of pure gold, this specimen has achieved the highest possible grading of Mint State 70, indicating a coin with zero visible imperfections even under close magnification. On the obverse, observers can admire a classic representation of Lady Liberty as she strides forward, illuminated by the radiating rays of a rising sun. This powerful image is a direct adaptation of the famous design originally created by sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens for the double eagle coin.
