The 2016 Proof Gold Eagle, minted at the West Point facility, showcases one of the most celebrated designs in American numismatic history. The obverse features a modern adaptation of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' classic vision, depicting Lady Liberty walking forward with confidence against a backdrop of radiating sunbeams. The year 2016 is clearly inscribed alongside this iconic figure. On the reverse, the coin displays a detailed family scene of America's national bird. A male bald eagle is captured mid-flight, carrying an olive branch back to a nest where a female eagle and their young await. This side also bears the traditional national mottos, "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," along with the face value of 10 Dollars and the weight specification of 1/4 ounce of fine gold. The distinctive 'W' mint mark denotes its origin from the West Point Mint.
