2017 1 oz American Palladium Eagle MS-70 PCGS
In 2017, the United States Mint expanded its renowned bullion selection by introducing palladium to the American Eagle lineup. This marked the first new metal added to the series since platinum debuted twenty years prior in 1997. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint with a limited production run of 15,000 pieces, this inaugural release is characterized by its dramatic high-relief finish, bringing a sculptural depth to the physical coin. The obverse features a classic representation of Liberty adorned with a winged Phrygian cap, a design originally created by Adolph Weinman for the historic Mercury Dime. On the reverse, an eagle stands proudly upon a stone crag. This reverse illustration was also designed by Weinman and has graced the American Institute of Architects' Gold Medal since 1907. Legible inscriptions on the coin include the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST", the year 2017, and the country of origin, alongside the face value of $25 and indications of its one-ounce weight and 0.9995 purity.
